Central Vista Retreat (Chester City Centre) by PolkaStays

Last minute booking and did have a great stay but luxury desciption is a bit of an overeach. Positive: Excellent location in the Rows. Large lounge kitchen with great windows for people gazing. Good shower in ensuite. Washing machine and dishwasher. Large TV. Negative: Superficially clean only. Refurbished but cheaply. Looks good for photos but not comfortable or durable. Heaters behind furniture. Missing extras like detergent for machine or tea/coffee and milk for first day. Pillows need replacing. Only one each. Needs maintenance. Others have given similar reviews but doesnt seem have changed things.

Perfect, Cosy & Affordable 👌 Positive: The property was very spacious, the rooms were clean and tidy and had everything we needed for the 2 nights we were there. It’s in a perfect location, 15 mins from the Zoo, and everything else was in walking distance. I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is staying in Chester. Negative: The only thing that let this property down and I am guessing its because of the old buildings, tank systems would be the lack of hot water, we went as a family of 5 and we couldn’t all have a shower in the morning as the hot water had run out. But again this isn’t a bad complaint just my honesty. It did not ruin the stay we just split the showers. Everything else was perfect :)

Positive: Great location in the middle of town (can be noisy at night as near to bars/restaurants). Large lounge and modern facilities/bathroom/kitchen. Negative: There were elements of the apartment that warrant attention and it feels a little unloved (hot taps in both bathrooms do not work, toilet chain falling off, kitchen surface not glued on properly). There is practically nothing offered in terms of guest gifts (wash tabs, cooking oil, dish cloth, etc), presumably to keep the prices as low as possible for guests.
